Our approach to Seniors

High School Seniors present us with the ultimate challenge…

The challenge of capturing a young adult who is on the verge of a new adventure, a new path, a new way of life. This age couldn’t be more awkward and unsure, more inspired and creative, more full of life and full of purpose. Each time we get together with an 18-year-old student, we are reminded that they are about to springboard into their next stage of life. We love to capture this milestone slice of their lives. We learn about who they are hoping to become while giving them space to be who they are in that moment. As the session shapes up, we see them relax into the person they are. It’s a joy to be able to provide this opportunity for parents at such a pivotal time in their teen’s life. And we have the best time doing it, too.

While fall seems to be the most popular time of year for senior sessions, we find that summer and winter provide some equally fun opportunities to showcase exactly who your senior is during this time of their life. Consider the timing and what works best for your family. Some students are devoted athletes, so perhaps their best opportunity to get their senior portraits taken is during the summer months. Other students simply understand their preferences and know that a given season supports their individuality and sensibilities. Whatever direction your teen leans, choosing a time for their senior sessions can be stressful. We work hard to provide options that take in the aesthetics of a senior’s vision while hosting a fun time for everyone. Senior sessions are affordable starting at $175 for a single outfit and location.

Mike and Kim did such an amazing job on my daughter’s senior pictures! They helped her feel prepared with an email list of what to bring before the shoot. They also were able to ride the line between letting her lead and state what she wanted and being prepared with ideas when she wasn’t sure. This was all wrapped up in a shoot that was fun and spontaneous yet professional. Mike and Kim love to laugh and have fun which put my child at ease when she was feeling uncertain. I would recommend working with these two loveable pros to anyone who asked!
