Stunning Vermont Countryside Wedding, with a touch of Utah

George and Blaire returned to Vermont to celebrate their love on July 16, 2022, at the Windy River Farm in Westfield, Vermont.

Blaire grew up in the Mad River Valley and spent her winters racing down the slopes of nearby ski resorts, so choosing a venue in the shadows of Jay Peak was perfect. It was a natural fit for her to travel to Utah to settle into her adult life with George. After a COVID-inspired proposal over Zoom where George had all of their most important family players dialed in to watch him get to one knee, they knew family was going to be a recurring theme in their wedding planning. They brought an amazing crew of Utah friends to Vermont to help them celebrate their love story. Family ties ran so deep that George’s sister officiated the ceremony in the shadows of the beautiful arbor that Blaire’s father custom-made that reflected their love of the mountains. They incorporated a “siblings dance” to celebrate the love of their siblings and their spouses. Blaire’s father has been a drummer in a band for as long as she could remember, and his skills did not disappoint as he sat in with many former bandmates for their first dance. He also sat in for what turned out to be one of the wildest “traditions” we have ever witnessed in the classic Wipeout: have any of you ever done push-ups during the drum solo? yeah, neither have we. But the entire wedding party did, even the bride, who had strategically changed into her bridal jumpsuit for just that reason.
