Our approach to Weddings
Here at Love Wins Photography, we believe that comfort is the key to capturing authentic, beautiful moments on your wedding day! Here’s how we make it happen:
Genuine Storytelling
Our goal as photographers is to document the organic side of you and yours, and the people you’ve chosen to spend your days with. Rather than barking orders and telling your guests to do things our way, we prefer to find those little ways they show how much they love you. Like the glances, touches, and laughs. The gestures and the jokes. And we’ve been known to throw around some jokes, too.
Two Photographers, Two Perspectives
With both of us behind the lens, we can capture the action and the reactions, ensuring every precious moment of your Vermont wedding day is seen. Our unique yet complementary styles bring your love story to life from start to finish, letting you truly feel like yourselves.
Building comfort through connection
Since being in front of the camera can be intimidating, we include a practice session in every wedding package. This “get-to-know-you” shoot breaks the ice and helps us find those natural, comfortable ways to bring out your true selves. By the wedding day, our relationship feels like a friendship, not just a contract.
Albums that tell your story
Our goal is for every couple to relive their love story through a beautiful album. We offer two album styles, and while not every package includes one, you can decide anytime after your wedding to have one designed by us.
Our wedding clients invest an average of $5500 for 6 hours of coverage and an heirloom wedding album.

Now that you’ve found us, what happens next?
Once you’ve submitted an inquiry with us, we will set up a time when we can all meet, either virtually or in person. Google Meet has been an awesome way for us to connect at times that are convenient for everyone. We invite you into our workspace to first learn about the two of you and offer a glimpse into the Love Wins process of capturing your unique love story. We will then share our brochure that spells out some of the many options you can choose from that suit your specific needs. After the contract is chosen and signed, a 50% retainer will be required to save the date with Love Wins as your photographers, the balance due on your wedding day. We only book one wedding per weekend of availability so that we can devote our full attention to you. Engagement Sessions are included and can be scheduled at any time after you are officially on our calendar, during any season. We have been known to spend a day on the slopes, enjoying some brews, meeting up for a date in the city, or taking a journey around to some natural features that Vermont is so famous for. Share with us your inspiration and ideas for our practice session together and we will create a uniquely fun time to document.

“Kim and Mike did our engagement shoot and photographed our wedding ceremony and formal photos. They did an amazing job helping us pose for shots, while also helping us feel confident and comfortable to be ourselves. During the ceremony they got beautiful shots while also being inconspicuous (which was very important to me). Where do surprise proposals and elopements fall?
Surprise Proposals may just be the funnest things to plan. They are always an adventure, require a great deal of planning and off-the-cuff shooting, and always involve the element of surprise. We work with our clients to create a plausible story, a plan for their proposal including a playbook for them to study, and the quiet patience required to be sure we don’t draw attention to ourselves. We allow the moment to unfold before our eyes, documenting it in real time. Then, we reveal ourselves and take a few more casual poses to document the momentous occasion. Proposals begin at $450 for a couples session that includes a knee drop. Fully Planned Surprises begin at $750.
Elopements are simply weddings that require fewer to-dos, fewer players, and often an element of adventure. Whether it is on top of a mountain, exchanging private vows before the larger ceremony, or a small gathering of the most important people, elopements provide just as much emotion and foster the same amount of love as a more traditional wedding affair. As two people who chose to elope as a way to send a message to our blended family that simply stated: we are here for you no matter what, we can appreciate these intimate affairs and love the opportunity to capture those love stories exactly as they were intended to be - full of love. Elopements begin at $1500 for two hours of coverage. If you are interested in Adventure Elopements, we have some sweet spots up our sleeves we would love to share with adventurous couples like ourselves.
Destination Weddings are always an option. Have cameras, will travel! If you love our work and want to bring us along for the ride, let’s talk! Destination weddings begin at $10,000 and typically include full coverage of all planned wedding events and coordinated collaboration with the host planners.
