Real Weddings: Glamorous, Idyllic Vermont Wedding Captured by Love Wins Photography

Erica and Evan were married at a private residence in Charlotte, Vermont on a beautiful summer day last September. This long-awaited day came, like many 2021 weddings, after over a year or more of planning, cancelling, and rescheduling due to the Covid-19 pandemic. This day had finally come after what felt like years of planning and waiting. Stepping into the suite that Erica was getting ready in, we instantly knew this was going to be a special wedding.

Erica is gorgeous, glamorous, and stunningly blonde. She may as well be a modern day Marylin Monroe the way her hair and make-up (by @heathergarrowstudios) complimented her gorgeous dress. She makes her way to the first look and ceremony in the great white buffalo of vintage muscle cars; certified one-of-a-kind, 1968 ice blue Ford Mustang convertible. Waiting patiently under the massive limbs of this shagbark hickory tree, is her sleek and sharp husband-to-be, Evan. He stands with a stoic grin, holding Erica’s beautiful bouquet. Dressed to match his bride’s allure, but with a touch of Vermont showing through the navy blue plaid in his coat.

Their ceremony took place adjacent to the family vineyard in the shadows of Mount Philo. Evan’s Uncle Pete has curated this land like an art gallery: grain meadows, ponds, vineyards, a unique Hungarian beehive, and a couple of hand-relocated barns that appear weathered, but stand tall and proud after their restorations.

Seriously, this place had it all. But most importantly, it had Erica and Evan’s closest family and friends who had made the journey to this special place after so many changes and challenges all had been facing. On top of the beautiful setting, the love and energy was nothing short of palpable, and the smiles were wide and plentiful.

As we wrapped up our time for the day, we exchanged hugs and high-fives and made our way away from the party. Except we had a little insider information and instead posted up at the other end of the property to watch the last slivers of sun descend behind the Adirondacks. We knew Uncle Pete had some excitement up his sleeve… and a short time later, the fireworks began. We enjoyed the celebration together, Mike and I did, but we also took a few extra minutes to capture a couple of fun images of the explosions of light above the party.

An affair with these kinds of tight-knit family gatherings really stand out to Michael and me. It makes us think about our own daughters and their journeys in life. It makes us think of those fun relatives we don’t get to see as often as we’d like. It warms our hearts and pastes smiles on our faces for the days that follow.

We hope you enjoy this gorgeous love story as much as we do.
